These lower-your-interest rate calls, with almost identical wording "This is [Rachel | Carmen | Bridget] from Cardholder Services...Consider this to be your final notice..." have been going on for years. So this must be a profitable operation for the scammers, and they are confident (rightly so) that they will never get caught. There are enough suckers out there to keep these operations going and well funded. Law enforcement, financial institutions, elected officials, are doing nothing to stop them. Why is that?
I keep getting this call. It is from a Dr.Silver Sprin MD.
That is what the caller ID says. I do not answer call unless I know who it is. I feel sorry for the people who get these calls, and it is so sad that people have to take jobs to do this . I know the economy is terrible. Yet, these callers are persistant. Whay is this. No one that I know answers these useless calls, and for sure NO ONE will give out personal information. What a sad Country we have become to have people HAVE to do this kind of work, to bother others....................... Jesus HELP US!
This number is calling me daily (almost a month now), offering to lower my interest rate on my credit card, despite my being on the Do Not Call registry AND this being my business phone number. Pressed "1" to talk to an operator and was told I was number 50 on hold, "Thank you for waiting". Hung up.
