Do not comply with any of the requests you may receive from the number 240-317-7066. It is a total scam. The guy was even stupid enough to tell me he used to live in my hometown, yet could tell me nothing about said town. Same scenario as above .. he wants me to charge extra money to his credit card for shipping to his son in West Africa and would also like me to charge extra so I can send cash with the item I am selling to his son that his son needs for school. Ya right!
This # is associated with someone who wants to buy a tripod from me using Paypal. He says he will send me and extra $700 to ship it to his son who lives out of the country.......I have had this happen in the past and all of them have been scams...........same deal more than asked for the item ship it out of country ....the dialogue is always the same...............beware this type of a buyer
Yes, this one is scamming on Craigslist. They use several different phone numbers but with the same MO. Beware of someone offering way more for what you want...
