Got a call from this guy who spoke good English, said he is from the FDA and I need to contact him right away or be thrown in jail. The funny thing is he called me on my cell phone, so I called back on my home phone and got an answering machine saying this is the FDA we are unable to come to the phone right now, please leave your name and number we will call you back. I have called plenty of large government offices and never had a home answering machine pick-up. I checked on here and what do you know, others have been called from this number stating they were FDA or the DEA. Watch when anyone calls you and threatens you with fines. Good luck!
I called the FDA main number and they said this is a scam. FDA agents are not allowed to collect fines. Scammers usually steal your number off of online pharmacies. FDA told me to ignore further calls or tell the caller that I'm contacting the police.
I received a call from this 240-330-6135 stating he was from the FDA in Washington D.C he said that if I didn't call him back right away they would arrest me and prosecute to the fullest extent of the law. Of course I freaked out for about 2-3 hours! Then I thought wait why would the FDA even call me? I entered the phone number online and I saw all the people that have been getting scammed from this number. Be careful with these creeps
