Scam loan. Claims to be calling from Cumberland, Maryland, but can't answer basic question about physical address or where in Cumberland they are located. Wants money up from from borrower.
Called my cell phone 6 times today. First time this number has called. I get flooded with loan solicitors. I just found this amazing site... I will be sure to add all of my solicitor numbers here to keep the database updated. Thank you to everyone on here who also cares about our privacy and safety. NEVER respond or take any action with anyone calling or texting you about money! If you don't recognize it/them, it's a fraud. I got several with my actual bank info and employer saying they would garnish my wages. Yes, they go that far, but it's like junk mail...report it and move on. I work in big data and marketing so I deal with these creeps all day. Simply: Report, save a copy of the attempted contact (not necessary, but I do just for my records), delete, ignore. It's just a new form of all the junk emails and junk physical mail you get. However, if you choose to entertain these scams they cam and Will take your money. If it's asking for things thst legitimate businesses never do, run the other way.
Again, SO happy I found this site and thanks to everyone who takes the time to pass tjis helpful information on to others.
Also...under call type there are only options for legitimate types of business (other than prank). These calls fall under Spam/Solicitors. I'm going to leave this under 'unknown'.
