4/8 CID 'Ashton MD' - several rings, disconnect, no msg - typical scam call pattern - from above posts seems like a new scam number - other 'Ashton MD' calls: 240-883-5222; 240-722-1929; 240-345-4771; 240-590-1747; 240-345-4235; 240-389-4950 [various charities, etc]
I constantly get calls from this number and the thing is- they don't answer with anything! It's quiet, as I'm left saying hello over and over again, this person remains quiet and then hangs up.
Some female named Amy keeps calling me from this number asking me what degree I would like to pursue. This is the second time I've told her I didn't contact them and I'm already in a degret program. Then she says something polite and promptly hangs up. I've blocked the number from my phone.
I constantly get calls from this number and similar ones and because of so many horrible experiences I won't answer calls when I don't recognize the number...but these callers never leave voice mails so I know it's not someone I want to speak to
A woman said I might qualify for education assistance. I said no thank you o am not in school. She said if you got a job in the next few months would you want to further your education then? I said I have a job. She hung up. Total scam!
