I received a white postcard on 07/20. It said "Important Notice" and Delivery Scheduling Notification, Status: Delivery on Hold. No return address - just said WWT Inc. on it. The printed message was "Our scheduling dept. has been trying to reach you to set up a delivery. Unfortunately our schedules get hectic. Please call the scheduling department within 72 hours at 240-397-9385 so we can make your delivery promptly. Thank you for your cooperation."
I didn't recall having received any messages from someone trying to contact me but since I was expecting a couple of important packages the next day and I didn't have access to my computer to check this out, I called the number and left my name and phone number. Didn't hear back from them on 07/21 and I received all the packages I was expecting. Now after reading a bunch of postings online about WWT Inc. I realize this is likely a scam. They haven't called me back yet but I will be prepared for them if they do.
I just received the same card in the mail today (WWT Inc with 240-397-9385) and like many of the posters I just bought a home too. Been buying new everything lately...so gave the number a call thinking it was a missed package. Now, I get the scam and feel duped. I think that this company is probably focusing on new home owners... or it's a great coincidence that some of the people who received these postcards noted they just bought new homes. This really pisses me off... false advertising... and does this "company" really think I'm going to buy what they're selling once they call me back? Yeah, trust flew out the window with the bogus card. Shame on them!
I also received the card in the mail today. Called the number, got the recording, and left a callback number. If it is a scam of some sort, you can bet I will be calling the BBB and the postal service.
From many of the posts on here, it seems that they are torgeting new home buyers. How many of the new home buyers used Wells Fargo for your mortgage? Or live in Maryland? If it is a Maryland thing, I will be curious to see how they received my information.
I got the card. It is targeted to new homeowners. The card tells you that they are attempting to schedule a delivery. When they called back I asked what where they delivering because I had not ordered anything. It is apparently a home water testing company and they want to "deliver" to you a Lowes gift certificate if you let them test your water. I declined and filed a complaint with the US Postal service for mail fraud. If you get this card, I encourage you to do the same. Search google "United States Postal Service Reporting Mail Fraud" and it will take you to the site to fill out the form.
I got a odd message in the mail too!!! Same number 240-397-9385...NEW HOME BUYER TOO!!!! ITS HAS TO BE A SCAM!!! Of course we are all waiting on something , they know we just bought a home!
