Apparently another sketchy "Veterans Charity" solicitor. Received a call from 240-398-3871 on 06/30/2014 at 1:16 PM, caller name ID read as "Unavailable." This call as blocked by our PhoneTray Pro software for calling previously on 06/27/2014 and also on 06/25/2014. I have been receiving a rash of calls from this organization which I believe to be National Vietnam Veterans Foundation, Inc. D/B/A American Veterans Support Foundation (J. Thomas Burch Jr.). They call from dozens of telephone numbers in the following area codes: 202, 301, 240, 443, 571, and 650. These calls do originate domestically, but because they hide behind the cloak of a 501(c)3 organization, they are exempt from the National Do Not Call List. All we can do is block the telephone numbers, and that is why they are utilizing a wide variety of telephone numbers.
Called first time this AM, didn't answer and they left no message. I screen ALL my calls and if I don't know them, they can leave a message. Most likely a new lower your interest rate type call.
This number has called me every other day for the past week. Always no message left. I'm on the do not call list. Sometimes I think these scammers use this list to find numbers. Drives me nuts.
