Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
Both of the home phone lines had the same ridiculous recorded message on the same day. The IRS was taking legal action for unpaid taxes. The IRS sends a detailed letter which informs you of the original amount owed, what fines and fees have been added and how much more will be added if not paid by the dates they give you.
I just assume that returning the call will result in a very expensive long distance charge on my phone bill and I ignore it. The only reason I checked this one was to find out how much a friend should expect to see on her phone bill. Her husband returned the call. which I assumed was to Nigeria. I have good news for her.

Message on the phone : To have a CRIMINAL LAWYER to call IRS (for me ) at 240 450 2832 ,because I am a subject of a criminal investigation related to taxes . I made the phone call , NOT giving any information but asking to send to me a LETTER .
He start threatening with criminal offenses...
