Female caller identified herself as representing the University of California and was conducting a survey on health...she begain by asking if I was over 18yo and was my phone number for a residence,business...etc...I declined to participate...always leary of phishing scams...and giving out personal info that could be used against me or wind up in a growing data base about me...she obviously was reading unrehearsed from a script...maybe some poor soul just trying to make a buck...shoot me if I become a telemarketer
looked up number in whitepages.com...seems whomever it is is a landline..based in maryland nowhere near calif. and the proviedr is verizon. wonder if we complain to verizon if we can get it STOPPED
called a couple of times. the first time, a lady left a message saing she's calling for UC California on a health survey. the number with a 240 area code which is Maryland. somthing smells about this caller. why is she calling from Maryland on a UC California survey.
