Same story here just this morning, received the text from the same number saying he wanted to buy for son birthday and he send someone to pick up and for me to give paypal info to. No way am I doing that as he wants to rush this thru and I thinking that if you got paypal, you can wire money. What a joker... stay away fromn this cat, he said his name was Dave Barnett and the phone number was his work so don't text back but email him at his personal gmail account (davebar234).
AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!
You're not eBay. No need to take Paypal. Sometimes you have to treat the scammers the same way they treat you. Just tell your scammer that you'll be very happy to accept 'Western Union' as a form of payment. Now that we've had our joke, remember Western Union is a wire transfer service. CASH. Never to be used for business, an online purchase, or to send money to someone you do not personally know. Family & friends. Real ones not the internet ones.
Ya this loser tried to buy my bike for full asking price and yes it was for his sons birthday!!
Very eager also.
No questions and wanted to use "pay pal" !!
I think I'm gonna do some Investigative work, track him down through my computer geek friends and pay him a friendly visit :)
