Told her we don't take unsolicited marketing calls and she got huffy. "This is not a marketing call. I will just call back." Hung up.
The company is Corporate Payroll Services, based in Norcross, GA. This call was from the local DC area office (Rockville, MD). I called back and told the switchboard operator that we do not appreciate unsolicited marketing calls, which no matter what their telemarketing reps may claim, these calls are, and to remove us. Furthermore, my company policy is we absolutely will not do business with any company that uses unsolicited telemarketing calls, especially those that blatantly misrepresent the purpose of the call.
