Got call today from this no. Caller ID said "Sun Trust". Ans. mach. picked up and call disconnected. Second call came through one minute later from "Sun Trust", same number. Disconnected again when machine picked up. I don't do business with Sun Trust, but I don't think they would be calling me even if I did.
I got a call from this number. The caller purported to be "Micaela" from SunTrust. She told me all SunTrust Visa credit cards were being swiched to Mastercards, with more benefits,advantages, etc. She knew my name and address, how long I'd been with SunTrust, and said that to switch to the Mastercard she needed to ask me a "security" question, which was the name of the high school I attended. I got suspicious & called the real SunTrust. They'd never heard of her "offer" & the phone # was bogus. A SCAM!!! She was phishing for my personal info, so SunTrust cancelled my card and replaced it with a new card/account. SunTrust said the number (240-533-0218) had originated from Washington, DC and was NOT a SunTrust #. This was told to me by SunTrust's fraud department, so the info is reliable.
