Who called from 2406702399

I received a text message from this number which provided a Google verification code that I hadn't requested.

i did as well... Looked up area code say's its from the state Maryland. received the text message at 10:20p.m. eastern time on sun. 12/22/13.

and i received another text message saying my facebook password reset code:
same date but at 10:17p.m.

Received a text with a google account verification code I hadn't requested on 1/10/14

I was sent a text supposedly from Google with a "verification code) on 1-13-2014.  I keep getting them.  Sometimes there is mo phone number displayed ... But one of those 6 digit codes instead as the caller ID.  Is it really Google, cause I didn't sign up for Anything.  This is scary.  I wonder if it has anything to do with those hackers who broke into Targets credit customers database... Timing is incredibly fishy.

Yes, it is Google's text account, or one of them, anyway.  It's legit.  If you got a message you weren't expecting, someone else typed in your cell number and was trying to use it for log-in verification.  Those messages can be safely ignored.
