Pretend to be process servers - but refer you to a debt collector to stop a NON- Existent lawsuit -
Its called PAY NOW or ELSE and its ILLEGAL! They have to send you info in WRITING and allow you to dispute it.
Used when they cannot prove the debt is valid or they have the legal right to collect it. (probably are not licensed to collect in TX)
Before you call them back!
1.. Check the HARRIS COUNTY COURTS they will be able to tell you if a lawsuit has been filed or not.
You will find that they have NOT filed any lawsuits!

One more thing - TX State laws allow YOU to record these calls with Mark without telling him you are doing so. Before you call back - you want to make sure you are set up to record the call - so you can get all the FDCPA violations recorded - for evidence in court
