lots of hangup calls from this number lately. Although they do not identify themselves as medical debt collectors, but usually some kind of credit card scam (in which I don't participate and am on the DoNotCall list), this is probably in some way related to my insurance choosing against having any specialists in my diagnosed condition and sending me to medstar health, which similarly chooses against having such specialists. They kept leading me on, then when I stopped, billed me through 5 different p.o. boxes and affiliated phone numbers. Their collection affiliates have been sanctioned by the FTC before, and proclaim that they do not need to follow the fair debt collection practices act so long as they don't identify themselves or identify themselves only as the medical provider. Of course the medical provider wouldn't respond or even sign certified letters (tho the post office says them delivered). The hangups and harassing robocalls continue, and my insurance well after the fact say i owe at least two copays for each visit, plus both insurance companies and medical providers are free to alter my medical records because HHS's OCR grabbed jurisdiction over these matters from the FTC, yet chooses not to enforce the law
