Caller ID: QVD left no message on answering machine. I did a small search on internet for "QVD" . 1) Supposedly doing a survey/poll regarding political choices. 2) Leukemia support/fundraising. 3) QVD business enterprise software. We will see after Nov 4th how many of the "political" calls stop. They called before 9:00 am. They skirt it by calling after 8:55am. Enough!
BCFAF hired Corporations for Character to solicit for donations via telephone. According to the 2012 IRS Form 990 for Cancer Fund of America, also known as BCFAF, Corporations for Character raised $448,276 and kept $410,996 with $37,280 (or a little over 8%) going to the charity.
I answered a call from this number Saturday morning right after 8 a.m. They said it was a fundraiser for Breast Cancer. I agreed to donate money and so they asked me for my name and address so I gave it to them thinking that I was speaking to a real person (a man). Then they said that they saw that the last time I donated money to them (which I didn't remember doing) that I paid it by check and asked me for the last four numbers of my checking account .When I said no, I wasn't giving them that information, it went silent so I said hello and that's when the recording started over from the beginning. I then hung up the phone. I feel that this is a scam.
