Got a voicemail from woman with heavy, possibly Indian, accent claiming to be from "IRS investigation department" - and saying there was a warrant out for me! First off, the IRS sends letters to make demands so there's a paper trail, not making threatening phone calls – that's a Collection Agency trick.
Second, the IRS has issued an official full it is there's a scam going around pretending to be them, and how you can report it - https://www.irs.gov/uac/newsroom/scam-phone-c ... uspicious-calls .
Number blocked, and incident reported to FTC.
Ignored this call and let it go to voicemail. In the voicemail they claimed to be from the IRS and that I there is an arrest warrant out for me. If I do not call back, they will forward my case file to the local police station. This is spam, do not answer or call them back.

I got a voicemail message from someone claiming to be an officer of the IRS. The name is Officer Linda Jordan from the Investigating department of the IRS and she say that I have a warrant out for me.
Received a Vm from Officer Sean Smith, English computer generated sounding man, claiming to be from IRS Investigation Department. Stated severe charges are likely to be taken against me and urged me to contact him urgently.
I've not any issues with the IRS at all nor have I in the past.
