This is a PHONY, BOGUS 'charity' SCAM. Name is designed to SOUND legitimate, BUT IT IS NOT.
Do not answer if possible, and NEVER, EVER 'donate' over the phone to ANY ENTITY that "cold calls" you out of the blue.
EVEN WITH a legit looking/sounding name on Caller ID ANY and ALL numbers could be SPOOFED (meaning they use a computer program to display a FAKE number, HIDING the real one - for anyone who doesn't know that yet!) and you could be talking to PRISON CONVICTS, FOREIGNERS in other Countries or even just your neighborhood THIEF or TELEMARKETER (who KEEP MOST of what they collect, even for so-called 'real' charities.)

They are NOT a LEGAL, REGISTERED CHARITY but are trying to SOUND like one ("AMVETS **SERVICE** Foundation" IS REAL. Has a 3 out of 4 ratings [not the greatest - and too low for my dollar] with Charity Navigator www.charitynavigator.org)
This is also a VOIP CELL PHONE according to several number tracing services. That means someone with a Phone/CABLE package has set up a computer/robodialer to SCAM PEOPLE.
DON'T FALL FOR THIS! And DO NOT GIVE TO ~ANY~ ***BEGGARS*** over the PHONE! That only ENCOURAGES and PERPETUATES THESE CALLS!!!! ONLY give to Real, Registered, Brick & Mortar Charities that YOU contact YOURSELF.
