The person calling from this number firstly did not know how to correctly pronounce my name. Secondly, they were calling from a proxied VOIP number, as while 248 is a valid area code - 134 is not a currently used local code within the 248 area.
They claimed to be calling from E D Associates and were "Attempting to gather information to deliver a legal document." When I asked for more information, they attempted to provide me with another phone number to call. I promptly told the lady that I have no knowledge of E D Associates, have not requested communication from them and do not trust the phone number they are attempting to give me because of the invalid phone number showing on my caller ID.
This is most likely a scam or phishing attempt to steal personal information.
