Received a call and the women on the phone wanted to talk about car insurance. As soon as I said I wasn't interested she hung up before I even finished.
Called me today... spoke super fast almost sounded automated. She said something about 2016 insurance laws and how I could save money. I don't have my own insurance and I told her she had the wrong number, she hung up on me right away.
Recieved a call from this number a few minutes ago. Sounded weirdly automated, with long pauses (as I tried to get information from "her"). "She" tried to tell me about 2016 insurance laws, so I asked "her" if she was from Statefarm (my company), and "she" said "she" works with all providers like Progressive, Statefarm, etc. I asked "her" what company "she" was with, and "she" replied "National Insurance [inaudible] Company". I asked how how "she" got ahold of my number and the line went dead.
My guess is whoever's on the line is not automated, but is using some sort of software to distort their voice. When I did a search for "national insurance company", it appears to be from India, registered in February, 2016. Whitepages flags this phone number as "spam".
