I talked to them to see what the scam was. They are selling an extended warranty for my vehicle. They have my vehicle make and model, my name, and address. They want to give me bumper-to-bumper coverage for an additional 4 years for $198 plus 18 monthly payments at $151.06. You must give them payment immediately by credit card. They transferred me to three different departments during the call to make it feel like a big company. They claim to have sent me warranty info by mail, which may be true, as I throw out that kind of mail unopened. They do not give a company name, "Vehicle Svc" comes up on the caller ID. When I ask them to send me the policy to review, they say it is too late for that (see mail comment above), and that when they have done that in the past, people have waited until the car needed service, then enrolled, so they only do it over the phone now. I assume it is a scam, given the demand for credit card info immediately.
Just called me again. I thought I had them blocked. This is the third scammy telemarketing call I've gotten today from 3 different numbers. It's like a full time job blocking these people.
