Just received a call from Goffee & Associates a few minutes ago so went to the web to learn what I could. I appreciate the candor of the message. I am familiar enough with Primerica to have known them when they were A.L. Williams. The message to me did not identify products or positons, just that they are expanding and looking to add a couple of positions. The invitation is to come in for an interview. I would not do that without more information and having had calls like this in the past was guessing that it was about financial and/or insurance products.
Not what I want to do at this stage of my life. Thanks again for the heads up.
This cell # belongs to Robert Goffee of R&O Associates (the 'R' is for Robert and the 'O' is his wife's first initial, by the way). I went in for the orientation and this is Primerica. I figured I had driven that far, I might sit through the presentation. It is all rehearsed information that they use to try to get you excited about the "opportunity." The reality is that Primerica is not a scam. It employs MLM, which is different from a pyramid in that they do offer a product. A pyramid is illegal because they do not offer a product. Primerica is a difficult business to make money in because of the way they market their products. Their techniques reek of scam and is not a good opportunity for most people.
All their meetings are simply to try to motivate you to continue to find recruits and sell the products to the people you know. If you are interested in insurance sales, then this is not a bad option as they pay for you to get your license. No other insurance company does that. However, if you are looking for stable income to maintain a decent quality of life (which is most people) this will not be the thing for you. Is it OK as a part-time gig if you want to learn something new and make a few bucks in the process. Just a side note: R&O Associates is a part of Hines and Associates whose address is 631 E. Big Beaver Suite 201 Troy, MI. George Hines is the guy that runs this office and Robert Goffee is a part of his team or "downline." These guys are making good money but they have put in a LOT of time and energy to get where they are.
I got a call from this number last week. I like to be told honest information. When I asked the person who called if this was a sale type job, she did not respond but evade my question by giving me a different answer, and truly, she sounded like she was reading from a script. So for sure, I instantly knew this is related to sale, specially when you can hear clearly when a person who is supposed to be expert in sales, is reading and telling you information in monotonous way. Plus, I was honest to say I am not interested in sales and my experience is in other field.
