Everyday I get a call from (248) 429-4201 - Caller ID: Michigan Call
I have traced it to 123.Net, Inc. (dba Local Exchange Carriers of Michigan, Inc.)
No one talks they just wait and hang up
The way I always handle unsolicited calls is to answer, then when they ask for my wife or me, I say "Just a moment", put the phone down and walk away. After I hear the loud tone indicating they've hung up, I hang up. This wastes their time, and the worst thing you can do to telemarketers is waste their time. If everyone did this, there would be fewer telemarketers.
I would not answer. I have found that any country can us a U.S phone number call you and it shows up on your phone bill...becarful when answering calls with no name on caller ids
I have to answer unknown or out of state calls because I own a small business. However, I started answering these unknown calls with my business name and soon as they hear I am a business they apologize and tell me they have a wrong number. Then I use my panasonic phone to block the calls, It's a beautiful thing!
