Keep getting calls from various "Officers" warning me that I am in trouble with the law @@@@. They also say that if we don't return the call the only thing they can do is "Wish me good luck as the situation unfolds". I have no idea what they are calling about and have asked that they send written documentation of any debt they claim I owe. They are calling for me, but using my maiden name. Been married for over 15 years so even if they are correct and I have a debt in that name the statute of limitations has been long past. I have yet to receive anything in writing and yet they continue to call for the past 6 months. Ugh! They even got me fired from my last job since they called the office and told them to have them call Officer so-and-so about an arrest warrant they had in my name. I ended up calling the police department in the area they are calling from and sure enough...no legal action of any kind (civil or criminal) has been started against me. Not sure if this is a scam or not but I did put a fraud alert on my credit report so they can't do any damage to me at this point. I also switched bank accounts in case they so how have access to that. What a hassle!
I just received a call from a foreign person saying he was "Justin Smit" (or something like that - couldn't understand him). He proceeded to want me to verify my ss number before going any further. I was able to get the following information - he was from the Dept. of Law and Investigation from N. Hudson, Michigan.
Received the same call at place of business and cell phone and they are telling me they have a warrant for my arrest and that I owe them money. I don't even know who they are and have never borrowed any money from them.
Just got a call at my work saying it was the dept of law and litigation by the name Marcus smith but he a foreign person says Im in trouble with the law he is caling my cell and work #
i keep getting calls to my cell and work. i mean harassing calls from these foreign people and i dont know half the stuff they saying but they asking to verify my ss#, bank account# and so on. they saying im in trouble with the law about some money i got, but i never heard of the company they said i got money from plus i havent got any money. i think its a scam..........................
