Here's some guys I've spoke to before, they are legitimate debt collectors, however they are guilty of using the strong-arm tactics we've most likely all seen before.
The call with some personal information (as they have your credit report) and of course they want more.
My big problem with these guys is they won't take no for an answer. So here's the initial info:
Same deal here, they called multiple times on Friday and today they have called 4 times so far. My phone company says the number is unavailable for blocking. It's a voice recording every time and hangs up afterwards. It does not ask for a specific member of the household but wants you to call back regarding an important legal matter...I have no important legal matters or bills outstanding so this is a lie. Any ideas how to stop them out there??

The phone rings and they tell me to hold on for the next available person because this is an importgant call and they say its not a telemarketing call. then they make me wait while repeating the message as by cell phone bill rises.
