Caller ID showed 248-608-2950. -person with a difficult accent called to "confirm" my listing that supposedly already existed. He did have my business address -but that's not hard to get. I was stupid enough to give him my name, but no other info. I hope that doesn't come back to bite me. When I asked about the listing he said it was an "internet yellowpage listing". When I asked for the website so I could check the listing he immediately hung up.

Glad to know this number calling is just another scam. there is just dead air when I have been answering the past 3 days.
Never give any info to anyone over the phone unless you know them. Period!
Caller with heavy accent called yesterday and was inquiring supposedly in reference to our business listing, which I have been telling same such callers for YEARS..DOES NOT EXIST. Also, we have been on the Do Not Call List for many years, which seems to mean nothing. Apparently violators are rarely prosecuted judging from the volume of these calls to our home. There used to be a method for blocking specific phone numbers from calling. Problem is, this caliber of callers seem to change numbers like changing socks. I called federal agency about 1 1/2 years ago about an especially harrassing repeat caller, whose number I had identified many times (obvious scam) and was told that the local phone company to this caller would not divulge phone numbers.
