This person is still at it. I had appliances for sale on craigslist and same scenario, send extra money and to wire the difference to the shipper. As soon as I got the text I googled and found this page. So I played along and gave this person the name "Jack Mieove= Jack Me ...well you get the point and an address to an old job I had left. Well they fell for it mailed a check and the tracking number. I than responded and copied and pasted the links about this scam. Answer (by text)from them was one of their employees made a mistake and that's why people thought it was a scam...well I never got a name from this person or company name for that matter. I get sick and tired of these parasites doing this so I figured I would waste their time and money(even though it only cost postage) to mess with them. After I told them this was crap they still kept asking if I deposited the check? My last response was a copy of this link and told them to enjoy. Hopefully everyone is getting smart enough not to fall prey to these bottom feeding leeches. I had fun and I had to chuckle about the name. A little juvenile I know, but got to get even some how. I would advise anyone else who sees this number should sign it up for at least two spam accounts. I know I will.
He kept texting and calling ask for my item i have on Craigslist sayinh i should give him my name and address ..and he'll pay me more money..this is a stupid b...who has nothing better to do with his time.
I, too, have items listed on Craigslist (spokane) and thought it very odd to have someone from so far away inquiring about my listing. When I sent a message through text asking where he/she is located, I didn't get any further response.
I am so glad people take the time to report these scammers! I check internet every time I get a weird text or email about items for sale. This guy (from Michigan) wanted a dented fridge in south Texas! Do they think we are all that stupid??
