I got 3 calls from this number asking for the owner of the business. When he was not available they told me that he had requested cancellation because te fee to advertise was being rised to $1500. They needed to give me a cancellation number so that they could send the following documentation: Letter of Closure and Authorization letter for 2011-201 charges. They then wanted to transfer me to someone who asked me to authorize and approve a past due invoice for $649. When I refused, I was hung up on and then another call came from someone with a heavy accent basically yelling at me for not approving the invoice that my owner had requested. I again refused and was told that my account was not being cancelled, it would be renewed and we would owe the $649 AND the $1500.
If and when a bill does arrive, we will first turn over to legal dept and then will turn over to the Better Business Bureau to review.
Got a call from this number stating that they were the yellow pages and that the owner of our business cancelled our account and they wanted a $1500.00 cancellation fee. They kept asking me to authorize the cancellation and wanted to give me a cancellation number, when I would not they hung up on me. The caller was foreign and spoke very fast, I could barely understand him. I tried calling the number back several times and it was busy. Just tried again and the number is no longer in service. Sounds like a scam to me, don't give out any info!
Got a call at work from this number, claiming to be from the "Yellow Pages." The caller insisted that I take a "cancellation number" from him as our business had cancelled our yellow pages listing. (True, about four months ago). I asked him why this had not been handled at the time of the cancellation. He told me that it was being processed now, and that our business would be receiving a final bill of $600.00, and all association with the Yellow Pages would be finished. I said it sounded like a scam. He told me I was doing my employer no favors because if I did not accept the cancellation number today, the final day to accept it, the bill sent out tomorrow would be $1200,00. I then asked to speak to his supervisor. He out and out refused, argued with me some more, I continued to ask to speak to a supervisor, and he hung up on me. What, is this operation too small-scale to afford scam supervisors even? He couldn't have come back on and changed his voice and pretended to be his own supervisor? It's not even a high-level scam. They should have more pride in their work.

Received the same song and dance every one else got.....Man with heavy accent (ERIC) hard to understand said he talked to the owner and that the owner cancelled the online listing because the cost had doubled, (knew it was a scam no one gets past me on the phone)..so I'm okay okay...not understanding a single word other than it was the last day and to hold for the confirmation number. He transfers me to a woman who surprisingly spoke English, I asked her when they had spoke to the owner etc.....she said I would have to speak to Eric. I told her that I would talk to the owner and to call back. I spoke with the owner and of course as I already knew he spoke with no one. I immediately get a call back from a blocked number...I told ERIC that he had our address and information from the listing to mail me all information and we would look at it..THANK YOU and HAVE A GOOD DAY...then proceeded to hang up on him.
