Received one call from this company and since the last time I checked there was no doubt I was a woman I was a little surprised when the man on the other end all but shouted "BRADLEY!" When I told him he had the wrong number he did say he was sorry and hung up. However, two nights later I received another call from the same number and when I answered the person on the other end hung on the line a few seconds and then hung up. This was not a computer generated call, I could actually hear the person on the other end. I have tried to call this number back numerous times only to get a fast busy. Thankfully I do have a service with my phone company where I can block long distance calls so I won't be bothered by them again, at least not from this number.
They called me from the "Foundation for American Veterans". My dad used to give donations to this organization. I've looked them up online and found that this charity has declined "to be evaluated in relation to the Alliance’s Standards for Charity Accountability" (give.org). Other sources say that just 6 cents of every dollar raised goes to services for veterans.
