These people have called me for months from various numbers, twice this week, claiming to be " my Playboy subscription manager". I let my subscription lapse ten years ago after being scamed by a fake renewal letter and Playboy saying that they never sent it and there was nothing they could do about it. Now these people claimed 1st time this week (diffrent number) that I have a $40.00 credit and that my renewal had been lost in the mail for ten years ( I had, in previous calls, told them that I was not interested in renewal and had not subscribed in ten years) and that they would give me a ten year renewal to make up for the lost time but that they deserved a fee for doing this. We never did get to the amount because I cut him off and told him I was not interested in this renewal or any other subscriptions that he had offered. He said that he would have to throw away the $40 credit. I said fine with me and to quit calling. 2nd call (yesterday on this number) same voice claiming he had a ten year renewal request. When I claimed that I had not submitted it, He said that it smelled of beer and implied that I was drunk and don't remember or that one of my drinking buddies had submitted it as a joke on me. I again requested they stop calling and hung up.
