Caller Id said it was a "local call", but it is not even the same state, let alone area code.
Called at 8:50 a.m. local time; did not leave a message. Thank goodness I have a phone "blocker" so I can "blacklist" it! I've run out of room on my VOIP system and Panasonic phone system as I am vigilant about keeping these intrusions out of our home!! These "robocalls" always ring 3 times, then hang up. Unknown numbers then get checked at this site first before I decide to block.
I answered the call and they asked for a donation for homeless veterans. When I said yes they said they took all major credit cards and debit cards. I hung up when they said that because those can be mailed in. It's funny how after reading all these posts it appears they ask for women which they asked for me by my first name. I think it's a scam also.
Received a call from the same number asking for me by my full 1st name on my answering machine telling me to pick up the phone. My caller id said it was a local number which it wasn't. Thought it was strange that someone would be calling me at 3:00 in the afternoon let alone asking for me by full 1st name. Has me worried that there are people out there doing this type of scam..
