I received a call as described above. Claiming I owed the IRS and if I didn't settle it today they would serve me with a warrant and seize all my assets. Isn't there a way to get these people in trouble? It scared the daylights out of me! I called the IRS to confirm that it was indeed fraud.
^^^same as above posters. Automated voice message. Says they are calling from IRS and they are calling to inform me that the IRS has filed a lawsuit against me for to please call for more information. I called the number back and reached a call center and a man with a very thick accent answered "IRS, Agent (blah blah)...".
Does not sound legit to me. IRS does not call you and leave a voicemail that you are being sued.
I dont know who is calling me claiming to be the IRS & that this is the final notice about a lawsuit being filed against me, but I have completely had it with the nonstop, daily harassment from this number. On top of that, it now has become a regular habit for them to call at 5:30 a.m. on the weekends & even after 10:00 p.m. any day of the week. I would so much love to get these people in serious trouble with the law for their ridiculous attempts to get me to actually answer my phone to hear their lying [***]!
