They are probably calling from overseas on an internet phone with a US number. They are safe from being held accountable. While a call blocker does help, these criminals constantly change their phone number. In the event the call could be traced to a phone located in the US something might be done about it.
Same message as above, called them back and told them they should not be harrasing people with a Irs scam and told him I will turn this number into the Hotline line and he called me a [***] and why do I mess with them. SMDH!!!
This is an IRS scam! These people calling saying that they're calling bc a lawsuit has been filed against you. B.S. IRS won't call you on the phone. Don't give any information to these people.
Same message as above, Didn't return call. I've been in trouble with the IRS before and they do leave there name and whom they are calling for. What's funny is I've never been threatened by a voice bot before.
I've received 3 calls leaving threatening message as described above. Finally after calling 253 number back 6 times it actually rang! Same as above, asked for case # gave him a name , he informed me, it was extremely hard to understand what he was saying, IRS tax fraud. Funny thing when he gave me his name it was the same name I was given a month or 2 ago about a government grant I was chosen to receive. When I asked specific questions he got irate, rude and hung up on me!
