This is an Advance Pay day Loan Scam. The man has an India accent, his name is Mike. He says you have been approved for a long term $5000.00 loan. You have three years to pay it off in $180.00 monthly payments. I was in a tight spot and fell for this. He sounded very legit, however he is a total scam. He told me that I needed to go to the nearest Wal-Mart, CVS, Radio Shak or any other business whom sells "Green dot Money Paks". I went and got what I thought was a money pak, luckily the woman had sold me the wrong item. He said that I needed the first months payment on this card and then within two hours the money would be in my banking account. I called the man with what I thought was the correct for of payment, he then informed me that what I got was a prepaid visa and I had to have a "Green dot Money Pak". I then went the next day and got money pak but then finally came to my senses and realized that this man just wanted my money. I gave this man my routing number and account number, he also has my social security number. I am very frightened. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM!
I just got of the phone with him. Yes I am in need of cash bad but I didnt fall for his game though I would have liked too. He called twice, once from a blocked # and thye 2nd time from 6002 that is all that came up. I told him I needed to call him back and the # and name you put up is what he is useing. Thanks for the headsup, I would close your account.
I received a call from 253-220-7291 stating I have been approved for a $2,000.00 grant; that President Obama has approved for people who pay thier bills on time to get a grant. They gave me a password number and a grant registration number and told me I could pick my money up from a Walmart or Walgreen store. I knew it was a scam from the beginning but when I asked the first lady how much I had to pay for the grant, she told me nothing but the man told me I had to pay $45.00 to get the money. I told him he was a scam and I hung up.
