Who called from 2532209959

Claims to want to help me from the IRS and that the number calling is from the Washington area and sounds like a scammer wanting personal information. Even left the number on my voice mail. Did not call back and did not answer.

There is a widespread IRS (or CRA) or "tax scam" being  practiced by scammers on both USA and Canadian residents.

Short answer:
The IRS never initiates a contact via phone.
They always send a snailmail first.

Thanks Sam. Figured it was a scam and that they did not have my best interest at heart, lol. Does it do any good to forward the phone number?

Scammer telling me that I have a problem with the Federal government and, I imagine, with the IRS. We are all paid up and no problems and yet it sounds like I could be in jail at any moment.

Multiple calls today, all using two rings in an attempt to override nomo****. Can anyone describe the message that they are receiving?
