Call came from Tacoma, Washington to Kansas at 10:51 CDT on 5-16-12. In a very rare lapse in caution, my Lovely and Gracious picked up the call. Heather on the other end from "Customer Service", Assured my wife that nothing was wrong, but wanted to talk about better card rates. Goodbye, wife dumped her.Caller ID said Customer Service
SCAM call from 253-236-2032 shows CUSTOMER SVC for CallerID. The robo-call (Heather today, Rachel in the past) promises to lower your interest rate if you will just answer a few questions or call them back and answer a few questions. They know nothing about you, so they talk you into telling them everything they need to know to steal your identity and hijack your credit cards. They do this over a period of several calls to build your confidence as they pry deeper into your personal information.
I have reported these people to the Federal CC - they have online report form so everytime they call me - the FCC recieves a formal complaint. When they are found, then I will charge them $500.00 per phone call in small claims court somehwere in a North Dakota. So far this week I am looking at 2000.00 - not bad for the beginnig a a great savings plan. Just copy the cell phone number through your printer on to a hard copy and then you have a great case. Loss of money hurts with pranks.
