The number 253-237-9004
Called saying I was picked for a grant. Reverse search the number and its located in Washington. Fraud asking for credit card number and I would not give the number to them.
Here's what it says:
"This is prerecorded call from IRS Investigations to notify you the IRS has issued an arrest warrant against you. Right now both you and your physical property are being monitored and it's very important that I do hear back from you as soon as possible before we proceed further in any legal matter. My direct call back number is 253-237-9004."
IRS does NOT make these types calls. No legit agency calls to tell you you have arrest warrant .... so you could hide and make it harder to find you, lol.
If IRS has problem with you, you've been sent SEVERAL letters to address on tax returns. If you ignore them long enough, they'll send you letters to let ya know they're going to court against you.
If you think call is legit, go online and get IRS phone number. Call and ask them, instead of FAKE NUMBER FROM PHONE CALL.
PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM!

Did some more checking. For some reason, hard to find a y complaints about this number, except for ONE other site.
Anyway... The US Treasury and FTC want to know about these type calls. Don't have the FTC site addy handy, but here is one for the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration: treasury.gov/tigta. (Feel free to look it up online yourself!)

This number is based in Washington state and when called they say they are in Maryland and give you a whole false identify address and use real government business names located in proximity but no actual phone numbers are registered to the facilities so it makes it hard to verify. Basically it's a boiler room filled with foreign people who are trying to make money and doing illegal scams over the phone. I believe they are unable aware of the fraud the are doing because they are either not American and willing to do any work for visa or just willing to do anything for work citizens unknowing they are at risk of committing fraud by working for someone smart enough to know they are at a very low risk of being caught best thing to do is look it up while on the phone and call the HHS FRAUD PREVENTION LINE FASTER THEY ARE REPORTED THE FASTER THEY CAN'T DO IT TO ANYONE ELSE
