got robocall from 253-245-2374 caller ID said " MED " on Friday 08-22-14 @ 549 PM
message with males voice loudly says "Don't Hang up" "This is not not a sales call"
"You are being given a free medical alert pendant Free and Free delivery.
This alert system has been suggested by your doctor or family member ......plus all the benefits including $3000 in Food coupons I could use at my 'local' stores. press 1 so I did.
Then a second recording with a female's voice came on the line saying the company name (which I missed) and that they have been in business since 1977.....blah blah blah.......
Then finally a live female came on the line and said "This is Kelly who am I speaking to?"
I told her "this is Mark U expletive SCAMMER" and then gave her the "SCAMMER AIR HORN."
She hung up PDQ !!!
I get the same prerecorded call every day between 11:00am and 12:00pm about a medical alert device. They clearly associate themselves with AARP, and state that I have been referred by my physician. The call goes on to say that I’m entitled to $3000.00 worth of food coupons and that the system is already paid for, and all I have to do is press (1) to confirm my address.
My elderly father is in physical therapy, and these calls started as soon as the land-line number was entered into Inova’s VNA system, and I suspect that Inova’s computer system is compromised.
It does absolutely NO GOOD to “block” their numbers. Because they use a different one every day! So Far they have used:
Received call from this number 253 245 2574 11:27 AM August 21, 2014. CID listed MED. I now screen all calls and did not answer. They did not let it ring long enough for answering machine to pick up. Entered the number on computer and it is listed to ESCHELON TELECOM OF WASHINGTON INC. a landline in Auburn WA. I did call this one back and an automated message said "Thank you for calling bac" Then said if I wanted taken off their calling list to press the number 1 on my phone. Since I used another number to call them, I did not press #1. Will do that with my landline and hopefully get my number off their list.
Yep. Same old, same old robo calls. The clowns are on to call blockers, so now they change numbers all the time. What scum bags. ID said MED. No message left. Praying on the seniors. Real nice guys!!
Undoubtedly the same scammers that call me pimping some medical alert device. Usually it's robocalls from NY, but this time th caller ID came up 'Med" and there was nobody on the line when I picked up. Won't bother picking up next time.
