FINALLY...no more ringing phone!!!! And it did not cost me a dime and I am off their phone list.
You want rid of these jokers, check this out:
First, you want to get 'human'. When they call, say "Hello" once and only once (this is a very important step). Wait for them to pick up the line, then when they answer and ask for Mr/Ms "Blank", answer in the affirmative "Yes" (this too is a very important step). Now, in your nicest and friendliest voice possible AFTER s/he starts their sales pitch (mainly to avoid from them hanging on you), you say, "I'm sorry, but I've told you this before, I don't have a VA Loan. In fact, I don't even own this house. How many times do I have to say this? Could you please remove me from your calling list?"
Remember, niceness is the key to your freedom, rudeness will get you nowhere. In fact, pissing them off only intensfies the problem/calling. {You catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar}. Trust me, I know. I've called these jokers every dirty word I could possibly think off before this tactic and it didn't do anything except create more headaches.
You may have to repeat this process once or twice more, but within 24 hours after telling them this story, they've stopped calling. It's been days since their last call and I'm enjoying the silence. The name of the game is to convince them that you are not a homeowner and you don't have a VA loan (DON'T tell them you have a VA loan even if you really do). They will eventually give up on you because they figure that they can't make money of someone that has no house/loan. It's that simple.
But, PLEASE continue to report these jokers to your State's Attorney General office, FCC, FTC, DNC Registry, BBB, etc. The more complaints filed on them, the better than the chance to shut them down permanently and maybe get some legal/punitive action put on them. Good Luck!!!
Receiving 4-10 calls a day for the last 1-1/2 weeks from "Announcement.". Funmy thing is that they mever seem to want to leave an Annoucement! Eat my voice mail you scam caller!
This number has called about 14 times in two days. There is no one at the other end when I answer.
Called the number back and got a recording saying "Thank you for calling back" . The message claimed that it was a telemarketer, and I could press one anytime to be added to that company's do not call list. Guess which number I pressed. It claimed it could take 24 hrs for this to take effect. I guess I'll just wait and see.
At last, finally spoke with the elusive callers. The caller introduced herself as "Morgan" with US Advisory. I informed her that we were on the Do Not Call List and that her organization should not call us anymore. She asked me if I were sure our number had been registered. I replied in the affirmative. "Morgan" proceeded to get snippy with me and snapped "Then why do you keep calling our number?" She then hung up. Dear Pesky Caller, I am calling to tell you to stop calling my number!
