Wanting to do an a/c inspection like I would hire anybody over the phone by solicitation. Besides just got a new a/c! Idiots that call on the phone are annoying and I wish they would stop but then looks like they won't because some sucker will hire them. Hate them immensely!
Air duct cleaning. Claimed their company name is US Air Quality. Said they don't have a web site up yet, that will take two weeks. I asked if they are licensed and bonded in my state (WA) and she said yes, then when I asked for the number she gave me their phone number 253-201-0771. When I clarified I wanted their WA license number because I don't do business with anyone until I check them out she said she can't give it out. Grrrr, the sad part is *somebody* will fall for this garbage. Oh yeah and I'm on the do not call list.
Same as above person from Pierce County: Recording in female voice saying "Summer is here, have you checked your A/C lately..." Hung up and looked up number, to find that many folks had also received these calls. Also on Do Not Call List. Wish there was enforcement and/or penalties for those who autodial you anyway.
