IRS Scam---says theres an affidavit against me and legal action being taken. Indian accent. Answered the phone with just a "hello", doubt the IRS sounds like that.
It's a total scam. I had our attorney look into it. When I called back and asked who they were the guy said he was my husband - funny since I"m not married.
Me too!!! Sounded like a pre-recorded voice but she said, "if you don't return this call them I wish you luck as this situation totally unfolds on you." Did you hear anything what this might be?
My mother received it and called them. They said they were the "IRS". They said they were going to send the local sheriff or she could make a full payment right then. Scam central.
I just received this call too. The message was left on my cell phone. I called it back from a landline because I had heard about an IRS scam going on. A personal with a foreign accent answered and said something like legal department. I asked who they represented and after a few requests for the same information he said IRS. I said, no, I don't think so, this is a scam. I am reporting you. He said that is fine. I hung up.
