I got a call from this nunber last night. As I could t take the call they have left the robot msg saying that if I don't return the call through my attorney consequences will be severe.. They have not even mentioned about what reason are they calling on!!
Got a call and answered. nobody spoke so I hung up and called back. A guy who spoke very bad english asked for my name, the spelling and my zipcode. I said well, you called me first so you should have my contact info by my number. So he said my name and then proceeded to tell me that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me. I said " if the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me, they wont be contacting me via phone number, they are going to have certified mail and lawyers contacting me ". He said " fine, i'll send you certified mail ". and I hung up. This is such a scam. I get phone calls every other month for the past 4 years from this number.. and i have yet to be served with papers for an IRS lawsuit. DO NOT give them any of your information.
I did not answer the call, and they did not leave a message. I have received several calls from this number and have never answered them. I believe one time they did leave a voicemail which was very threatening of legal action and insisting that I not ignore the call, but the robo call didn't leave a complete name or the reason that I was supposedly in such trouble. The words they used were not the real words that either the IRS or a professional bill collector or someone who really was trying to collect a debt would have used.
They called me, using a SMG Marketing caller id. Message was about a business listing, but I never called them back. Blocked the number when I got home. Donks!
