Hackers gained access to my Microsoft Email, changed password, security questions ect. Effectivly preventing me to gain access thru the normal recovery methods. I was able to provide Microsoft with enough information about this account such as credit card #, they allowed me to regained access. I saw in my account security settings, the phone number 253-265-5499 was added for security access. You need to understand that when using a phone number for security, Microsoft will call that number and when you answer, give you a conformation code which you then enter in your security settings to prove this is indeed your phone number.
This confirmation is done for two reasons, to be sure you entered the correct phone number, and to make sure it is YOUR phone number. The hackers effectively left their fingerprints behind by using their number to lock me out of my account. The phone number of 253-265-5499 is being used for fraud & hacking purposes. I tracked down the carrier of this number which is centurytel of washington WA, USA. I contacted them to make them aware that that phone number is being used for fraud.
