They tried the same scam on me, the guy's name was Don. When I ask questions, they just kept repeating the same information that they had already given me and never answered my question about what the name of the program was which the government was giving money. I asked several more questions and they told me they will call me back and never did. Big Time scam
The foreign man called and said that I was getting a grant from government to pay bills etc.. Also that I was to call 253 289 1003 treasure to get my money at Walmart
A caller from (202-378-9896), who sounded like a foreign gentleman, informed me that I was selected to receive a $7,000 for paying my bills and taxes on time. To receive this money, I had to go to a Western Union. They gave me a number (listed above) to call: 253-289-1003 and an ID # to identify myself to get more information.
My wife and I knew it was a scam, so we called the number (listed above) anyway to have some fun. A foreign woman answered the phone, "Treasure Department?" She congratulated me on being a loyal tax payer and she was happy for me to receive this money to pay off loans, Christmas shopping, or whatever I wanted for my personal use. My wife and I kept asking questions she could not answer. We caught her in a lie and she ended the phone call with, "If you're not interested in the money, I don't want to waste your time."
