Said they were trying to collect a debt. Said they had a matter to discuss with me about my file # blah blah. Gave me an 866 # to call back on and said they were trying to collect a debt yadda yadda yadda. I am not in collections anywhere or owe any past due bills for more than 6 years or so. My guess this is one of those dead file debt places trying to collect a debt from 10 or so years ago. If you do answer their call, don't admit to any debt they bring up. If you do it will renew the debt and start the collection process over again
Same thing, say they are calling about a collection account, which I recall it was nearly 10 years ago.. he said before the "pursue this further" would I be interested in settling the debt. I just told him Im not interested and hung up..
Same thing as above. Also she sound mad when I said "No" to establish any arrangement and she just said you have until 5:oo pm today to make the payment and hang up.
