This is a scam call claiming to be from the irs. They said they had been trying to reach us and was going to file a lawsuit against us! It was a very crude rendition of an automated call.
I received a call from this number on 11/24/2014 at 6:30pm. Call left a message on my voice mail. It was an automated message. The message stated "Hello, we have been trying to reach you. This call is officially final notice from IRS, Internal Revenue Services. The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file, please call immediately on our department number 253-299-4073."
This is a SCAM! I received 2 calls in the morning with the same message but the phone number was different and not complete (#06-801-1950). Besides, I know that the IRS sends letters concerning issues with your tax returns. I also know that the real IRS phone number is 800-829-1040. Plus there is information on the IRS's website to warn people about these types of phone calls. DON'T BE FOOLED!
Nov 24, 2014 at 601pm. 22 second choppy,automated message also stating, like Patti, that the IRS (or at least it really sounded like the robot said IRS) was filing a law suit against me or had already done so. The original phone number that registered on my cell was 931-561-3681. the 253# was the number the robot left for me to call back.
I will not be calling back.
I got the same exact call which came from a house number. It was possible to find out the information through reverse call but I did not want to waste $2 on it. SCAM!!!!!
