Is this lagit or a hoax??

They said I had been chosen for a $7K grant because of my good record. That was my first red flag! LOL then they couldn't send this offer in writing???? Funny thing is, when I reported it to police they said there was nothing they could do just hang up and don't give them any personal info!!! They also said they had been receiving reports like this all day. Great huh! I happened to google the # and here I am. Beware of these guys. If it sounds too good to b true, it is!

What is funny about it?

Your local police dept has NO jurisdiction over calls from overseas, or even from calls outside their boundaries.

Odds are, the number was spoofed, and it was not even from the area code you saw.

People like you, making such calls to your local PD, merely block their phones from receiving calls about matters they really could handle.
