Received call at 10:05 AM today. It took several hello's before a man replied back. Said he was calling from "Veteran Support." Recently we had a death in the family of a veteran. Thought it was a crank call so I hung up.
This 'group' is not licensed in Washington State as a charity. They are calling themselves "Veteran Support". Since we have numerous military bases in our state, this is a gold mine for them to solicit money. If you want to give/donate for Veterans, do so through legitimate organizations like Disable Vets of America or to your local VFW location. Better yet, buy a service member a meal at a local restaurant!
