Last year (and we will be taking them to small claims court for their illegal BS) we contacted a local veterinarian after our dog was viciously attacked, on our front porch by two pitbulls. I asked how much it would cost to take a look and see if he needed any medical attention. I was told, "Don't worry about it, just bring him in and we'll get him fixed up". Well, my husband and son took him in and again, asked if there would be a charge for them taking a look at him, cause we didn't know if there was anything surgically necessary. Of course, they wanted to open him up and do EXPLORITORY surgery. He called me and I said absolutely NOT...the poor dog isn't going to be put through that kind of pain. Well their "OPEN ENDED" estimate was horrific, not to mention, "OPEN ENDED"! So God knows how much it would have cost in the end, not to mention the torment and pain on our puppy. We went to another vet about 2 miles down the road, they cleaned him up, repaired his wounds, put in drains on his wounds and it was a fraction of the estimate the other greedy bast**ds wanted.
There was no bill, no agreement to pay a bill and no service for our dog. They turned us into collection for $50 and we are now getting phone calls from NW Collections for us to call them! We don't owe it, won't pay it and will be going to court for it. They called from 253-572-8605 and asked us to return their call at 253-572-5263. Both numbers are NW Collections!!!!!!!!
A lady named Kendra called and asked for me, I said "my sister" wasnt home right now and i would have her call back. Got a different number from her and when I asked which company she was with she said "AMERICAN CREDIT"
I called back the number from my caller ID and a lady answered the phone
'Northwest Collection" OOPS, I must've forgotten a bill
It is a felony for them to lie about who they are as debt collectors. You should have reported Kendra to the BBB as well as Federal agencies. I forget just who you should notify, but it is easy to look up.

Same MO as the others, they were calling me about my mother (told me she had access to my phone number thru a credit card form), told me she was from "AMERICAN CREDIT". Then told me I owed them $125 for a hospital x-ray from '08. I told them I would pay it today but not over the phone, esp because she called about my mother. Asked for a website (she seemed surprised I wanted to pay) then gave me a bunk website (http://tnwc.123fastpay.com). Told her if they had ever sent me mail about this I would have payed. She then asked if I at a house I was at 3 years ago. I gave them my PO Box and we shall see if they send me my bill. Sounded like she was from India.
