I got several calls from this number -- the voice from this number were recorded sound. Ask me to call a number begin with 425. Per this call, IRS has audited my tax forms and wanted to lawsuit me, and then I might get help from them.
I called knowing that this was a scam. I called and asked for a Ray stating that I was called and left a message by Ray to call him back. I called this # and not the # they gave me. I was not given Ray, but the guy I was talking to John Morris asked for my name and phone #. I gave a fake name and phone #. John then asked for my last 4 of my SSN. I let John know that I was not going to give that out. John said that he pulled my account and that I owed $4997 for gift that were not files correctly between 2008-2013. I asked for proof and he said that a letter was sent to me. He gave the address that as connected to the phone # that I gave him. That address was a place a business near my place of business. John said that there was no one there to sign for the letter and so the postal service took the letter back and has since destroyed the letter. I asked for a copy to be faxed to me and offered a fax #. John said it would be sent once this matter was resolved. I said that I would not pay until I saw the proof and asked for a supervisor (just playing with them now) and John said that he was the supervisor. I offered to pay at my local IRS office and John said that was not an option due to it being a court matter now. I let John know that I wanted proof before paying and he then said Ok that there would be cops and federal agents coming to my home (the fake address I gave) in 40-50 min to arrest me. I asked for Officer John Morris' badge # or ID # because I was having my lawyer come over for when they arrived. Suddenly the line wend dead. I think that I will call them back tomorrow and tell them that I am deducting the lawyer retainer fees from what I owe because my lawyer sat with me for 3 hours and no one showed up. : ) Have a great day.
